Should We Help Each Other? What If We Do? (2025-2026).
Pollination · Food Pedagogy · Collective Making

During a three-week residency at Slakthuset in summer 2025, Behjat Omer Abdulla and curator of pedagogy Mija Renström worked with young cultural summer workers through shared discussion, tasting, field visits, and making. The group developed Should We Help Each Other? What If We Do? for the entrance biotope: large block letters posing a public question, with insect habitats integrated into their backs so the work could function both as a public question and as shelter for pollinators. The project was developed in collaboration with Göteborgs Konsthall, KAKA, Göteborgs Stads Kultursommarjobb, Stadskupan, Higab, and Västra Götaland Region’s cultural administration, with support from the Swedish Arts Council.

The wooden letter blocks were made in collaboration with artist Adam James and Göteborgs Konsthall staff.
